    la Francophonie
Today's french lesson was extraordinary. We arrived, Jie Ying, Caleb, Wencen, Trixie and I, at MOELC to expect the worst during our french lessons as we were supposed to get back the controle paper. However, it was Francophonie Day -- Journee Internationale de la Francophonie, a day where everyone speaking french gets together to celebrate. So there were booths set up to introduce the culture of french-speaking countries such as Belgium, Switzerland, Vietnam, etc. and the Egyptian and Belgium booths had plenty of food awaiting us =]
But guess what, getting free food came with a price to pay. Mlle Fournier pushed us into a class of students from Lycee Francais du Singapour to guide them around MOELC. We were really unprepared, I mean we were not told abt this beforehand, I immediately got butterflies in my stomach >< However it turned out really fun and quite interactive because the students were really responsive. We listened to them read and sing and recommend great movies and afterwards we were separated into groups to visit the booths, go for the mini karaoke session in the comp. lab and play a wordgame in another classrm. Caleb and Jieying were in one group, Wencen and trixie in another, and I, alone :( So I started talking to some of the girls, and they were really friendly :) though I was rather broken in my speech and had quite a hard time understanding them fully. I found myself saying Je suis desolee or OK, d'accord most of the time as a result!
In the end, all of us proceeded to the auditorium to listen to a band from Lycee Francais, the performance was really different, it was an acoustic band, so no electric guitar wadsoeva. They sung well too, and the songs sounded like plain white tees, those really sweet, more acoustic pop :) which I liked, plus it was entertaining. After that we listened to a speech by the ambassador of France in Singapore. It ended at 6+ though and I'm really worn out.

Having long breaks in school doesn't mean more time to do work afterall, it just means more slacking and a stronger desire to sleep during lectures after having slacked so much during e break...I found myself dozing off during bio lecture, and today's bio lecture was super hard and complicated...

Yay 2mr's a holiday! And guess what we're still discussing whether we're gonna have a CT outing the nxt day at 10.15 PM haha.
