23rd November I woke up late so it was laure who woke me up instead of the alarm clock...didn't know that her sch started at 8am that day. so we walked 2 tram stations to place de la victoire. the distance doesn't matter to us cos we are in a foreign land and are always fascinated by the daily life scenes in france and another reason is because we are travelling in a huge group :D then after learning more bout the history of bordeaux as a roman town, we moved on to musee d'Aquitaine, a museum showcasing the history of erm...europe? in diff. eras...prehistoric, roman, medieval, modern blabla. so i walked wif yiran trix and mabel,then we all freaked out at the hooded dementor-looking dummies in the modern era section and stopped our journey. the end. anyway, it was nearing the end :D we returned to the lycee for lunch. and the lunch was this really hard as stone steak, but i quite liked it. i guess i was the only person who quite liked it. it was hard but bloody, weird eh? then we had FLE and feedback with Pige. stoops Pige. heex. after that we all made our way to a classrm for a video on the history of France. i was like stoning so i didn't catch anything, actualy even though i did not stone i still couldn't catch anything so 4get it hahax. so i went home myself (for the first time). learnt that every friday Laure will have a date wif her bf till midnight. wow, quite sweet haha, so Luciel talked to me and then she used her cam to zipai a lot. they like too zipai too :D and then i had difficulty telling the parents that my parents were in turkey. i was like saying in french and they were like ha? i said in english and even said < the bird you eat during xmas!> haha and i made such a fool of myself cos i realised turkey (the country) was turquie in french and there's nosuch bird as turquie. how did they understand? they resorted to taking out a world map and asking me to point out where my parents were, haha! 18th Dec I swam with Yiran today, we finally got to swim together :) trix and mabel did not want to swim. so the stoned at the poolside, hahax :D so we swam laps and talked...while swimming. then we called wencen and she sounded like she hasn't woken up yet, xurui said she would reach 30 mins later. then leon came, me and yiran went to shower and enjoy a hot steam bath. chen ji dry our swimsuits too :D we played PIG and ate the food. yiran's dumplings are so nice :D cake was not bad too. i ate a lot. PIG was so fun it kept us playing for very long :D did stupid actions like putting legs on the table, standing up and shouting random stuffs, blahblah. so thrilling :) then yiran trix and i had to go to school for the 19th rehearsal, so we left the other 4 in the function room playing. came back all tired out. at 3pm we left for far east plaza to find court shoes, but far east don't have. we went to get clip ons from chamelon, got my lens solution and foundation at watsons. then we made our way to borders, lost mabel and trix cos they wandered off to marks and spencers. we went to plaza sing and finally found court shoes (not really court shoes, more like mary janes) at DMK :D yeah. we went to the basement to get some food, thank you mabel for treating us to saybons soup :D love ya always!! the tomato soup was great. so we plonked ourselves down outside plaza singa near the fountain and started eating. then said byebye and went home. will always love bFAT :D

21 Nov -- we went to musee jean moulin (a WWII museum)it's wednesday so the french pple will end school real early at 12.30 pm, so gd right? anyway yiran and I decided to go shopping. but I had to go back home to eat lunch with Laure first. the museum was quite interesting, was stoning throughout the video cos i didn't understand but it was still fun. we saw this protest outside the museum and we rushed to take pics and the pple looked as if they were very happy, then we realised they were protesting against foreigners or sth. oopsie. but anyways we are tourists :D so we returned to the lycee after the museum visit, then i walked home with laure. took almost 30 mins, they walk real fast. we dropped by the supermarket to buy ingredients for hamburgers, then made hamburgers at home. ate with lucile, jeremie and jeremie's friend who was going to fetch me back to the lycee on scooter. was real windy on the scooter. so i walked to aimee's house from the lycee and then we went shopping :) the shopping trip wasn't very fruitful, aimee looked real exhausted and i wasn't really in the mood, but talked wif yiran happily :D h&m was real nice, but quite crowded. the clothes very frenchie, real diff. style from singapore's shops, very topshop there. so we took 45 back home, then had dinner. salmon with creme fraiche, real yummy, and rice. their rice like nasi briyani, very nice oso :D then we told jokes at the dining table and had fun laughing...we played like charades on the white board, hahax. great family :D

Bordeaux!
Yeah, I'm going to do a real giant post on the entire trip. So we met at Changi International Airport for the midnight flight. Mum and Dad and Terry were already in Turkey so our Aunt brought us there :) I couldn't contain my excitement! The plane was horrible...13 hours. the last 4 hours were gruelling cos the food sucked and i got nauseous. The movies were the same as the return flight from NZ cos it's still NOV, so well I watched Hors d'Prix which I've always wanted to watch :D sat with trixie and lihong. when we reached Charles de Gaulle in Paris, the workers were on strike so no one turned up for work at the airport. Only a lonely police officer was standing in the middle of the airport directing us. So there was no train no nothing. ohyarh my luggage's wheel was terribly stuck, so i pulled the luggage like crazy. then everyone decided to walk only i took the travellator so i was stuck behind a group of real tall guys. they were like quite intimidating, luckily mlle cheo followed me :D we ate a chocolatine from Paul's. Paul's is a very gd patisserie! i was dehydrated. not allowed to bring water bottles onto the plane, and the water cost like 1.50euros per bottle, which was S$3!! And the devastating news was it was already like 10.15am when we boarded the bus to go to another train station and our train was at 10.30am. The bus was late by 10 mins, and we had to fork out 12 Euros cos of the strike. xin1 tong4. we slept on the bus and our next train was at 2pm, so we went to a mini fast food restaurant, ate a 2.50euros hotdog (which was the cheapest unfortunately) and I bought a copy of Glamour magazine. There was a cute journal :D It was 1.80 euros, which was the cheapest too :D we sat down and just chatted. And I wanted to go to the toilet which cost 0.50euros, lian ce suo ye bu fang guo! hahax. but this is a once in a lifetime authentic french experience, getting delayed because of a strike :D finally we could board the train and I dragged by luggage with all my might again. our train carriage was like so far away, I wanted to give up. Thanks to Mabel who helped me drag my luggage too :D I sat with Trixie and slept a bit. Went to the bar and played cards with some others :) bought an orangina.we played asshole taiti and bridge. the train ride was 3 hours and we were totaly exhausted when we reached Gare St-Jean and Bordeaux. our host families picked us up and I was so excited to see Laure and Audrey :D Laure's mother looked fierce but she was realy nice to help me drag my lugage to the car. It was real windy. Her dad was driving and they were really humorous on the way :D Her mum said "I can speak a little english" then her dad just made funny noises in the english accent, haha. So we reached her house, this little cute house with a chimney surrounded by shop houses and opposite is a grocery. Saw her little sister, real cute :D then they showed me around the house, got be bedroom slippers. I was so thrilled to see that my room was so cosy! and then Laure showed me her cat Grisou. haha he's real cute, black :D and then she said he might sleep with me, gdness. the second floor was already the attic and it's where all the children slept. it was warm and real well furnished. there was a garden but it was dark already. We ate noodles in soup and had pomegranate. i went to bathe. the bathroom was big but the shower cabin was totally mini.but nevertheless it's real cosy :D there was a WC beside the bathrm. i went to sleep. 19th Dec So i woke up and laure was already at the sofa. i washed up and then went to the kitchen to scavage for food. laure showed me how to make hot chocolate. i stupidly asked where was the thermos flask for hot water she said they don't have hot water. they heat water up in the microwave! so i poured milk in a bowl, put it in the microwave, then added chocolate powder. ate bread and biscuit and the cat ate with me :D we were watching some drole de reveil which was a morning show on tv. we crossed the road and reached the bus stop. the school was really near. lycee magendie is quite small but really modern. we went to the library and laure showed me around the school, then I was left with the rest. we were supposed to tour the school with pige but arnaud and brandon and me had to leave for class. laure was with her bf, so she was late for class. we had "Sciences de la vie et de la terre" which was life and earth sciences. it was a combination of geography, biology, geology, etc. it was a 2 hour lesson so i was bored to death. the only fun part was counting the flies on the plate. haha. but it was real chim, the phenotype genotype thingies cos they are 2 years older than us. then we had physics. newton's law, i could understand but the cursive handwriting was real hard to decipher so the symbols looked screwed to me. then we went for lunch. ate with brandon leon jamie and aaron.i think. it was macaroni with pork with chocolate cream with banana. i like the canteen system.but the queue was real long. we saw pple playing football but it was freezing outside, then played cards in the library. made too much noise, very paiseh so we walked out. we had FLE (french lesson) and we received a map of bordeaux, talked about what we ate last night and learnt some french. then we went to see their art class. it looked very much like aep but the people looked really arty-farty. we saw this punk with black and pink hair, real cool. their sketchbooks were wonderful, great illustrations, we saw a funkily graffitied wall. then we had reception in the evening, and we tried macarons!! macarons rock, they are small colourful pastries. we had some other refreshments and I went home with Laure. I was France's Top Model with Lucile (Laure's sister). then saw her brother (Jeremie) he was playing playstation with his friend in a room. Her mum came and told Lucile not to watch Top Model because it's too mature blah blah but she said I liked it which was true so yeah, we were both happy and we continued watching :) then we watched MTV. i watched top model and MTV nearly everyday. and then it was the best dinner ever! arclettes! my fav french food! it was potatoes with meat (ham, pork, and another type) the meat was raw and real salty, but it went well with the potatoes and melted cheese. we put the cheese in a small little pan and put it into this stemboat like machine to let it melt. wow, real yummy. everybody except the father and I peeled the skin. after bathing her sis came to talk to me and then we continued talking and playing every night :D laure came in for a short while and i gave them presents then they were so happy :D it's real gd to see them happy :D
oh no i've only blogged 2 days, never mind, will continue somehow :)

Hi we've been back from france since this MOnday. =D It was a really fun trip and after three weeks in Bordeaux, I want to stay there! And we miss our french immersion friends a lot!!! So we decided to meet up at Taka on Xurui's bday 12 dec. Then we went for dinner at Pepper Lunch after reserving a Chocolat gateau at Bengawan's solo. I had a Beef pepper rice -- v. nice coz I haven't eaten such fragrant rice in France. It was v. fun talking about Bordeaux and Paris while eating. =D Then theresa bought an ice cream since I also missed the dessert part of a meal in Singapore. We played cards for a while until this guy came to tell us that they had a full house and we were kinda chased out (even though yiran and theresa were still eating). Next, we collected the cake and sat down near the fountain outside Ngee Ann city. We were more daring after the trip, so Mabel went up to a smoker to ask for a lighter. We sang happy birthday for Xurui -- it really is fun to celebrate birthdays like that. In the midst of the hustle and bustle of Orchard Road. And the christmas lights, even though xurui said they were nothing compared to champs-elysees. Then we shoved xurui into Zara, Mango, Fox etc. and Perlini's silver to find a present for her. It was only about 9.30pm when we decided to buy a top from fox for her. Wow. present shopping can take so long. then we walked slowly to Shaw's Mcdonalds for a chat. I got a 60cents ice-cream cone. We talked and tlaked until 10.30, which was really late for me. we did not stay up woth our friends in town till so late before. then we rushed home and returned at around 11.10 since we missed our bus. But it was really great fun to see our friends again=D coz when school reopens I will really miss them .. Thanks for making the days in France enjoyable for us twins: Mabel, Nora, Wencen, Xurui, Brandon, Leon, Yiran, Yifei!
