Went to Singapore Biennale at Tanglin Camp on Fri with fellow AEPers :) Well, i had never known art to be SO GORY. but at least the artists have reached their aims... showing gory ways to kill people..i like the YOU WILL BE KILLED. they used watercolour to paint blood..super cool. then there was this one which condemned the death penalty in Singapore by making a sculpture of a chopped up merlion and some people covered in 3-pin plugs?! i like the artworks better..colour field painting and the mixed media installations...esp. the room with the blue swirlies :) very pretty! the boards floating on the sea was very creative and i love the soccer field of wooden sculptures..very cool.! so the meaning of the exhibition? this world is full of violence, bloodshed and everything now is about killing, so we can stop the killing? sounds so amateurish, but anywae it was definitely an eye-opener! thanks mrs tan for organising this mini outing b4 the exams :) ps. and second october is coming!
